Crucifixus

Text from the Latin translation of the Nicene Creed as approved by the Council of Trent 1546. A standard in choral repertoire is the 8-part setting from the Credo (Creed) from the Missa Sancti Christophori (Mass of St. Christopher) by Antonio Lotti, early 1700s. So that you may follow along as you listen to the music, here's the literal word-for-word translation:

Crucifixus etiam pro nobis sub Pontio Pilato:
Crucified even for us under Pontius Pilate:

Passus, et sepultus est.
Suffered and buried was.
