Opposite Version of Philippians 3.8–15

8 Knowing Messiah Jesus as my Lord
is worth far less than everything else put together!
In fact because of the Messiah,
I’ve suffered the loss of everything.
And I now calculate that loss as something worth grieving over.
The Messiah is my loss.
9 And I would be better off if I were not discovered in him.
I would rather earn my status through my own merit
than receive the status which comes to undeserving people through the Messiah.
10 I would rather: not know him, be ignorant of the power
of his resurrection, and not partner in his sufferings.
Deep down inside I honestly don’t want to share the form and pattern of his death 11 just in order to somehow arrive at the supposed final resurrection from the dead.
12 I’ve already become complete and mature
without Messiah Jesus overtaking me.
13 This is my one aim:
to never forget everything that I gained in the past,
and to not bother straining to go after what’s ahead.
14 I have no desire to run towards the finishing post,
where the only prize waiting is the upward call of God.
15 Those of us who are mature should think like this!

This is not the word of the Lord.
Thanks be to God!
